The height adjustment may be a matter of accumulated grundge in the mechanism; removing the seat isn't a big deal, involving four bolts as I recall from old threads. A search will get you directions; outside of this board, check **************.com, which has directions on their site as I recall.
No specifics I can give on the seatback angle issue, but you'll be able to remove the back from the hinges with the seat out; if nothing else, replacing the mechanism should be easy at that point. I'll defer to more expert sources for fixes short of that.
