Your reverse clutch drum frictions are more than likely worn out. When the clutch pack clearance gets too great it takes a while for the drum to fill with oil and that is what takes time. If the Lucas works for you great, but you are looking at a minimum of replacing the frictions in the front drum. MBZ makes a revised front pump you may want to look into while you are there.
