Good question, nobody here wants to give out the Mercedes Benz "cone of silence" (If you've ever watched "Get Smart" 1966 tv show with Don Adams) about parts interchanges. I've asked about swapping torque converters from a 190E 2.3 to 190E 2.6 to maybe gain an edge on performance in acceleration to no avail( no response). I have a close relationship with an old timer that knows parts interchange on the 1950s, 60s and 70s and early 80s stuff in his sleep, but not sure about the late 80s early 90s parts interchange. I the salvage yard specimans willbecome available soon and I hope to share thes " secrets with the Mercedes Shop faithful.
