Yeah, you can't use NADA to price your car for private sale. After all NADA stands for National Auto Dealers Association, so that's the price you'd expect to pay if you bought a car from a DEALER. Kelly Blue Book is a better guage of what you could expect to get for your car if you sell it on your own.
