1985 300D, 123.133
I replaced the subframe mounts a few days ago. After finishing up the job, I took the car for a test run, much better ride but a noise developed after hitting 20 m.p.h. and up.
It sounds like a bearing, but not the usual groan associated with such. The sound is more like tire whine, such as bus tires at highway speeds.
After replacing subframe mounts on this model, does the car need to be aligned?
I have checked for various items rubbing against the driveshaft, rear axles, etc. It seems strange this would occur only after replacing the mounts. Alan
