Recently I purchased another MB (1971 280S) which needs some restoration to the woodwork due to water damage, and age. I found a wrecking yard with all necessary wood interior pieces in good condition for about $40. rather than worry about the old and how to salvage, I am having all the pieces redone at a furniture resoration shop. This will match all the woodwork to the same color for about $100. I thought this was a great deal since replacement of new wood would have run as high as $1,000. Just another way to go.
