I have seen people at car shows wipe their dry car free of dust/pollen using a dusting brush..which sort of resembles a soft floor mop on a short stick (like a snow brush). I've seen these for sale at auto parts stores.

I thought that dusting a dry car would scratch the paint. Is this safe to do?
