What have you tried to remove them with? Are these stains raised above the surface or stained into the surface (smooth)?

On general principals I would: A) wash the car/handles with regular soap, B) try some Meguiar's #7, C) try some windex but be careful to keep it off the paint, D) try some Simple Green or Pro 409, E) apply some "Goop" or "Gojo" cleaner to the area then let sit for approx 15-30 mins...remove with water and a rag. If any one of these steps seems to be making SOME progress, multiple applications are never a bad idea.

Once you have removed the offending stains I would recommend application of Lexol's Vinylex, Meguiar's Endurance, or Mother's Back to Black with a Q-tip to the entire door handle. Apply with Q-tip, buff off with a rag, enjoy new looking trim...

Hope this does the trick for you....Lee
