Thanks for your previous replies - I've tracked down the UK supplier, dug deep into the credit card and got all the above but, before I use them, I want to make sure that the car is ready for them.

Mercedes 300 SL Nautic Blue - I think it is mettalic with a laquer coating.

A couple of weeks ago, I washed the car and then polished it with AutoGlym Polish and High Gloss Wax, (not sure if you have this over there but it has a good reputation over here. Came up nice and shiny, but not so you would think it was a pool of water.

Do I need to do anything to remove the above, or can I just wash it and start with 9, then 7, then 26 and 34?
