I had the fans out on my 190e W201. I found the secret, for me, was to take the front bumper off. That was easy, just four easy to get to bolts. If it works for you be careful of the temperature sensor, you should take that off first, the weight of the bumper will make short work of its wiring.

And my condensor stayed put, just be careful and don't put a screwdriver through it
