My two sense is to stay away from the dealer when you can. My independent guy does an excellent job on regular maintenance.

A few monthes ago, on my mother in law's 02 ML--he did the service for her and took the car into the dealer to have the warranty done on the check engine light.

He tested the problem out himself--but his computer told him that an oxygen sensor had failed; which he then explained to me that it was under warranty.

The name of the shop is Burdi's Motor Works in Schiller park (o;hare)

The guy to talk to there is Carmine.
Thanks. You are suggesting I go Burdi's and if something is to be done under warranty, Carmine would take it to hte dealer to get it done. Am I correct?
