You all are after the wrong NOx. Nitrous oxide is N2O, and is good for providing more oxygen for combustion. The nitrogen oxides produced by our vehicles are primarily nitric oxide, NO, and nitrogen dioxide, NO2. As far as I know, putting these back into the intake system would do nothing for combustion, other than possible inhibition.
