I know a lot of people are put off by the V8 because of maintenence issues. But the old M119 V8 is a proven engine, and one reputable mechanic in my area said he's seen some in excess of 300K miles, still running like tops.

They do not have problems with the timing chains anymore, and the '97 models don't have the problems with the distributor caps that the older M119's had. '97 was the best year to buy, as they made all the improvements in that year. Plus you get the 210 body.

You could also get an E430 of '98 - '02, but those have twin-plug ignition. They're a pain in the ar$e to change plugs. That's right, sixteen plugs!
