Botnst: economics is clearly not your field: who do you think has financed US' gigantic budget deficit (read: US wealth) since 40 years?

This has resulted in a steady decline in European spending and thinking on defense. The EU must change its attitude to defense issues to become a viable, cohesive state. mean like you: 'shock & awe' when countries don't do what you want?

But, would the world be better-off with such an entity? I'm not so sure anymore. The rattle-brain behavior of the French and Germans is not reassuring.

I guess attacking a WMD-ghost is really reassuring...
