On my 107, the deflector works very nicely with the side windows down; it turns 75-80 mph speeds into about 35-40 equivalent in terms of wind blast and buffeting, and makes it truly pleasant to be on freeways with the top down. On a nice warm day, I'll flip it up as I get on the freeway and off when I leave. I love the open car, but an hour or so of the noise and buffeting at full highway speed isn't that attractive--and the ringing in my middle-aged male's ears afterwards tells me that I need to be smarter. The screen fixes that.

With the side windows up and the windscreen up, it's only mildly more windy than in a closed car with the sunroof open; I use this configuration when it's too chilly otherwise. Even my cold-intolerant wife was comfy on a 55-degree evening in this configuration with a bit of heat.
