Replaced my belt tensioner on 86 190E 2.3 and am getting a roaring noise at idle and low rpm, going away after about 1200 RPM (appears to be belt slap on the idler pulley). Is dampening this noise a function of the tensioner itself or the shock absorber? The tension is set to spec, whats up?
