well I just changed the valve seals on the 300e, hard on the back, the seals were hard , guides du\idn't feel bad, the bad news is the # 1 cyl. intake lob on the cam was not pretty some nasty grooves but the rocker wasn't marked don't know if the previous owners(2) had a problem, but this could explain a few thingsas I am sure the lob is short now, also little bits of rust on the springs and lots of varnish. looks like a new cam soon
