I concur with all of the above. Where are you located? It can't be the U.S. because those models started in 66 here. That tranny is a K4A 025. K stands for fluid coupling, the 4 stands for 4 speed. the A for 1st version, and it is rated at 25 kiloponds. The trans is bullet proof. Some tips: always rotate the engine over by hand in the direction of rotation to avoid bending a chain rail. Also if your downshifts are very harsh, they are controlled by the adjustment of the little switch on the front carb. There is no control pressure rod on that trans. Control pressure is taken care of by the solenoid mounted on top of the tranny. A 68 250S was my first MB.
