DIY Flex Disc R&R advice and counsel Please

I've included a previous post from Benzmac in this question. For my 1980 450SEL, the replacement flexible discs (companion plates) do not appear to have a direction mark: "DIESE SEITE ZUR GELENKW" (This side towards propeller shaft). The question related to the answer below it was regarding an 86 300(?).

1. Can anyone tell me if there is a direction for the 116 body style?
2. I'm going to give prying a shot. Any other thoughts, concerns, etc (I will be using a lift).
3. Can both discs be R&Red using the "pry method"?
4. Looks like job 41-050 is a place to start and deviate from.

I'm doing this in the a.m. so keep those cards and letters coming.

You can do this without taking out the center support, you have to take a big pry bar and slide the shaft back, then pop of the detents. I'd let a tech do this though. It has different bolt lengths and the disc has to be installed in one direction.
