The 250CE had neither of these. It used Bosch D-Jetronic like the M110 (280E, CE, SE, SEL), M116 (280SE-3.5, 350SE, SEL, SL, SLC) and M117 (280SE-4.5, 450SE, SEL, SL, SLC) of the late '60s and early to mid '70s. Diagnosis would be similar to that for any of the other D-Jetronic equipped engines (ie. check for maintained fuel rail pressure around 30psi, listen for injectors "ticking" while opening throttle with ignition on or with engine cranking, check for ignition etc.).
