I agree with jcyuhn that $13,900 is way too much. I have seen these cars range from $3,000 to $15,000 in price. I just picked one up for $3,250 on the east coast and am having it shipped to CA, so I will soon see what I am getting.
Along with the interior shape, there are other major expense items that need to be looked at. For a car in the $7,000 range, I would hope it has a new tranny or the head was replaced with new radiator and water pump. Sometimes, they will have a rebuilt engine. Otherwise, these might be unexpected expenses soon. Other things to look for are new A/C and sunroof.

Rare or not rare, the car is 16 years old and the blue book is under $4,000. Tell the owner this!
