I'm chasing the same problem on my '88 260e. Do you think the mixture adjustment or the air temp sensor fixed your problem?

Unfortuately, my model doesn't have an air temp sensor and I have already set the mixture to spec's to no avail. I'm beginning to suspect either the EHA or the fuel injectors.
