Ya have to be careful with that rotor driver or you'll busticate it.
If you got the allen screw out and it won't come out, spray it with WD-40 or some kind of penetrant oil and tap on it with a plastic hammer to allow it to soak in for 15 minutes or so, then try working in in and out by hand or SLIGHTLY prying with a prybar, and I do mean SLIGHTLY. Try it by hand first.

Any fuel pressure abnormalities should have been check on all this diagnosis you paid for. You spent alot of money on diagnosis and they had no clue as to what's going on?

The fuel pump relay could be checked by simply driving it with the relay bypassed (hotwiring the relay).

Lot's of time the ignition coil will break down under heat loads, so that's one thing they could have thought of checking.

I like Joe's and tecboys ideas. On the EGR you could simply inplug the vacuum line for the valve and plug the end of the vac hose and see if it seems to be fixed.
