thank you for the reassurance brother! I'm really set on getting this fixed by myself if possible! I think that either one hinge is out of position or somehow I've bent the rear deck lid a bit? It is very hard to tell, no distortion in metal underneath or in the paint itself although when I was inside the trunk itself I noticed it is finished in a darker slate/gun metal grey compared to the light smoke silver of the rest of the car... Since I'm the 3rd owner, could this car have been in a wreck? I got the papers from the Province and everything seemed to be in order? I'm still shocked I had enough strength to bend those hinges in the first place!!! If I cannot get anything more out of slightly adjusting the deck lid screws, could anyone ballpark how much loot I'd have to cough up for the fix?
