I am having the same problem with my '87 but doubt the bushings are an issue. I will try spraying it down tonight with wd-40 or electrical cleaner. If that does not work, are there any additional pearls of wisdom on this subject?
I remember my bronco had a hole in the NSS that could be lined up using a drill bit for adjustment. Is there a similar gauge for this on the mer-b's, rather than trial and error?
Also, is there an easy fix to bypass this (temporarily) so that I am not stuck in a parking lot somewhere?
