Rusty Cullens, the parts guy from MBZ.org sells rebuilt diesel transmissions over their ebay store for something like $1695
You might want to consider that sort of a thing, its MB rebuilt... Getting a 'good' one from another car is just a ticking time bomb, and youll sooner or later have to replace it again. A rebuilt one is nearly as good as new, and Id suspect give you much better longevity, particularly if you change the fluid often.
