I installed Bilstein HD struts/shocks on my 300E about 3 years ago. They are indeed more firm than the Comfort setting, however, I do NOT think they are harsh or in any way uncomfortable. If you want a smooth ride with stock Mercedes handling, get the Comfort setting. If you want a firmer ride and plan on other suspension modifications, get the HDs. It all depends on what you want to accomplish...
