Hello guys,

Well, here I go, exposing my ignorance once more. I am not sure I understand what Bilstein means when they say their shocks are guaranteed for "life".

Does it mean that the shock is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and material until it wears out? Or does it mean they are guaranteed to outlast the car and will be replaced for any reason as long as you own the car?

It seems one could not reasonably expect a device to be guaranteed against wearing out, but some Sears shocks I bought years ago had such a warranty. (Sears actually replaced them, too.)

Thanks for any clarification.
