I know the 240D engine does not have a turbo, so there won't be any issues with oil vapors lubing the turbo. There must be a vent/breather to the atmosphere. Preferably between the valve cover and the oil separator. As long as you have a line from the valve cover going to a oil separator, and another line going from the bottom of the oil separator back to the sump you should be fine. I would cap any stock lines that you don't use.
