I don't know about the W124s, as I assume you are correct about the light bulb. However, I have looked all over the place for a bulb in my W210, and all I can find is this stupid fiber-optic thing, but no bulb on the end of it. I can't see how the bloody thing works... Anyway, still looking for help =)
