You know, this is the second thread I recall reading where a woman was taken for a high dollar repair on something which, although it may be complex, is not $950 complex...

If your original mechanic was a dealership, Id write to the owner and complain bigtime after you get it done at the other place. Also let us know the dealer, so we dont deal with them. If it was an independent mechanic that doesnt specialize in MB cars, let us know who, just in case (probably we wont go to them anyway). And, if it is an independent who works on MB cars only, definately let us know so we can save making a bad choice for an indy whom we would think would be good because he ought to do MB only work and charge reasonable prices.
