my 98 E300 has been sitting for two weeks. Using a fairly reliable multimeter, checked the DC at the post under the hood in 3 stages:

before starting (no key in ignition)
12.4v

immediately after starting (no climate control or accesssories running)
13.5v

after one minute (Engine idle changes - GPs turn off?)
14.1v
