already have max heat...that's why I think it is broken (after getting much great advice here on a thread three weeks ago).
I know checking it would only take 5 minutes, but as I've never taken it out before and don't know the potential failure modes, I was worried that after I took it out I might discover I couldn't reassemble my busted one and get it back in and that I needed something in that space to let the car run w/o overheating (you can tell I don't fully understand my car yet. I'm studying her one part of one system at a time.)
