1984 300d
I'm looking at this 1984 300D, not DT, but D. It's a Euro. It's a very good car, has all maintainance records, 2 year old paintjob, new tires, brakes, and is a cream puff. I'm used to the 300SD, and I'm surprised how peppy the non-turbo 5cyl can be. I'm having it checked out by my indy tommorow, and if I get it, I'll want to change the bumpers out to the big U.S. spec ones. I want them for safety, and because I personally prefer the look of a U.S. W123 than a Euro W123. About how much would I be looking at for a bumper conversion? And it has black inserts like on the 240D below the tail lights. If I were to get the chrome inserts, how much would they cost do you think? And is there anything I should look for when looking at Euro W123s? The only things that didnt work that I could find were the clock and antenna, minor stuff.
