i don't own a coupe and have never considered one, because I can afford only one car and need it to be general-purpose.

in reality however, my car is driven with only (a max of) 2 people on board for around 99% of the time, and I believe that this is true for many people in North America, the car being more of a personal appliance; in this context, a coupe makes sense.

i like the grace of the 124 coupe, and would consider it only as a second car ... but if one showed up with a 5-speed manual and a SportLine package, well, that's another story ...
