From what I have seen, the light pattern and brightness on the 95 w124 lights solve all the problems of the old lights. The 95s use an H4 bulb and has a better reflector than the older 124s. If you want to use Euros, I have heard that a replacement lens that matches the new hood curve is available, but I haven't seen that particular conversion done. The Hella page

shows the various year 124 Euro lights and lens covers, which implies to me it would work with just a lens replacement, and maybe even without replacing the lens.
