Yep....that's why I was curious about doing a non-turbo _upgrade_

Even if I ended up paying $10K for a nice '97 190DT, that's still many $K's less than what I'd pay for a non-MBZ gasser that got equivalent fuel mileage....or so I hear.

...anyone know an accurate range that could be expected from a 190DT? (90% highway miles). From what all I've seen, it seems like 40-45mpg is pretty common.
