Got home this weekend for Easter and opened my CD repair manual.
The car originally came with a Hirschmann 6000, and what I've found in the manual is that Hirschmann stopped making the 6000 model and replaced it with a Hirschmann 6000EL. At that time, an adapter harness was to be purchased and the antenna switch was to have a jumper installed.
I am not an electrical genius and the schematics don't help me out, but could one of you look at the schematics and tell me which wires hook to which post so I could simply raise and lower the mast with the switch? I can live without the automatic function.
Or better yet - where can I buy the necessary adapter kit?
Or, does somebody want to trade my two 6000EL antennas for one operational 6000? One of the ELs has a busted mast, the other seems ok.
