190E cluster removal

If your speedometer works, then it's not the cable, it's likely a stripped gear in the odometer assembly. While some claim it can be fixed, there are so many cheap instrument clusters for sale on Ebay, it may not be worth the repair. If you do buy a used cluster, try to get one that the same year as yours, since the warning lights on the cluster shell varied by different years and equipment changes. The '84 clusters used a "live" oil pressure feed instead of an electrical connection.
