What do you mean by "he refused payment for his services"?? Who did? The person who had the car fixed? Vanderveer refused to pay the dealership? Vanderveer wouldn't take any money for attempting the repair because he didn't fix it? You have to be more clear when you write-I can't ask my computer screen these questions.
