Anyone have any idea if these things could be plugged into the transducer that the original cruise control used to monitor the speed? For mine it's on the back of the speedometer but I think it's somewhere along the cable coming from the transmission on earlier cars. Seems like that would be easier than fixing a new sensor on the driveshaft plus it's one less part to buy.

Might work, but one of the things I wanted to get away from was the sensor on the cable/speedo head. A signal off the driveshaft itself makes a lot more sense than the comparitivly fragile speedo driven off a cable to me.
