Hey all,

I changed my transmission and power steering filters tonight. Wouldn't you know it, the drain plug in the trans pan was siezed, so I had to drop the pan and drain the waterfall way. Wasn't too bad, tho. New filter went in great, and the car shifts like it's brand new. The fluid was very brown, and I don't think the previous owner had changed it or only changed it once (now at 112,000 miles).

Seems like the power steering is much looser, which is what I wanted. That fluid is also brown. Should it be or should it be red?

In any event, when I change the spark plugs, I'll pretty much have a new car! I love how easy it is to do some of this maintainence on MB's.
