Thanks, I do have the switchover valve with the diesel. I don't really need a tach, I just wanted one to help break down the power curve a little. With my stock 10.5 by 20's I think it will rev in the mid to high 4's at 55 mph. When these tires wear out I'd like to upsize moderately to bring down the revs, if the torque is in the right spot. Geo, I fabricated the bellhousing and modified a 240d flywheel to accept the unimog pressure plate. I got a little carried away, shortened the bed to eight feet and moved it back. I extended the cab by thirty inches to make it four door. I was going to wait until it was done to post a pick on the unimog forum, but the damn details keep eating up the time. I'll attach a couple pics, just have to reduce them first. By the way a clutch shaft has been installed in the housing since.
