engine temp sensor bad?

Hi All,

My aux fan is always on HIGH. I took off the 2-wire connector and it slowed down. I plugged it back in and it's on HIGH again (cold engine)

Bad sensor?

If so, how to replace...

thanks,

PS: Where is the resistor that controls the LOW rpm of the aux fan.
