I just bought a 84 380SE with a V8 in it. I got 35 miles from the owners place and it just died like someone shut the key off. I was doing 75 mph on the Interstate when it hapeened. I have checked spark and it is good. I pulled dist cap and rotor turns.
I have read about timimg chains, but by the welding this one has been replaced at some point. It turns over fine and fast, but just wont fire. Could it be a fuel problem? I dont even know if it is mechanical or electrical fuel pump. Is there a fuse or relay? I dont hear a fuel pump buzz when I turn it on....but is that because its mechanical...I dont know.
Car has 190k miles.....what should I look for??
