The Mobil 1 is synthetic and more expensive. They both are universal grade oils, meaning for diesels. The Super 1300 or whatever, threw me.

If you are looking for economy, I would use the non-synthetic and change it about 3,000 miles or less. If you don't mind paying for the ultimate, I would say that Mobil Delvac One is clearly the ultimate diesel engine oil. but if it were me, I would still change it every 3,000 miles. No matter what oil you use, the microscopic particulate matter accumulates and is not healthy, especially for the timing chain.
