I just went out and found the book that came with mine. It gave -4 to 720 degrees C as temp measurement range.

It also indicated a type K thermocouple.

Also there was a naysayer on another thread saying that cheap meters would have low input impedance. That is not the case. The spec's show 7.5 Meg Ohm input impedance.

I've been around electronic test equipment since 1968 and I never thought you would be able to get such a great meter, much less for $20. I temporarily lost mine by loaning it and thought I was not getting it back. I bought another one and now have two after he finally returned it. I don't regret it. I threw it in a toolbox that I carry away from my shop. For this kind of money how can you go wrong?
