Cross matching shocks

Greetings Forum Members,

Today I received a shock order from the Adsit Company.
I placed the order on line for a pair of rear shocks for my 1985 Euro 280sl.
Their catalog has only one Bilstein shock choice for sl rear shocks years 1972-1989. The cost was half the price asked by MercedesShop, so I ordered a pair.
What I received are a pair of rear shocks with the part number B46-0713 setting C listed on the Blistein website as applicable for 1976-1985 123 chassis cars. I'm guessing that the C setting stands for comfort. They also list a HD setting for the 123 chassis, part number B46-0714
The Blistein website list only a heavy duty rear shock for my 107 chassis car, part number B46-1184.
Does anyone know how well these 2 shocks match up?
Are they the same shocks stamped with different numbers?
Is a 123 comfort rear equal to a 107 HD rear shock given the weight it was designed to support?
Visually they appear identical.
Has anyone else out there have any experience with this?
Is this sort of like the Chrystler climate controls in the latter 450sl's?

Lots Of Questions,

Knarf
