That is what I did with my SAAB and they fixed it for about $100. Or you can pay quite a bit more than that and have a local speedometer repair shop fix it The downside - it takes a week so you have to drive around without a speedometer and you end up having to remove and replace your dash twice (four times in my case - they did not repair it successfully the first time, although the second time was free).
