I saw one back about 1980 I wish I'd had a camera handy for. It was some small car, probably a little Toyota or something, don't remember what now. But it was obviously a "work in progress". It had a "custom"
front end built on it...out of plywood and bondo. They were trying to streamline it, like a Corvette or something like that. The plywood was too much! Probably added just a few hundred pounds to the front end of the poor little car.
We laughed our a$$e$ off all the way home
